According to Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development, there is uncertainty regarding a potential increase in the Federal Government's "Alawee" monthly allowance for NYSC members currently serving.

About a year after former President Muhammadu Buhari signed the new minimum wage bill into law in April 2019, the FG approved the payment of a monthly allowance to corps members of N33,000 (up from N19,000).




Talking during an appearance on Channels television Sunday Legislative issues, Bio-Ibrahim expressed that the public authority will track down inventive ways of catering for corps individuals' government assistance in the midst of diminishing oil incomes.
